Our Mission
HerdMart was built to solve a real problem: the goat community had no dedicated, trustworthy online marketplace of its own. Craigslist was cluttered, Facebook groups were fragmented, and general livestock sites didn't understand the nuances of goat breeds, registry requirements, or health certifications. We set out to change that.
Today, HerdMart serves hobby farmers, commercial breeders, 4-H families, homesteaders, and goat service providers across the United States — providing a safe, specialized, and easy-to-use platform built exclusively for goats.

Our Story
HerdMart was founded by goat enthusiasts who experienced firsthand the frustration of searching for quality goats online. Sifting through irrelevant listings on general classifieds sites, dealing with unresponsive sellers, and struggling to find breed-specific information made what should be an exciting experience into a frustrating one.
We asked: why doesn't the goat community have its own dedicated platform? Cattle ranchers have major specialized platforms. Horse owners have thriving breed-specific marketplaces. But the goat industry — one of the fastest-growing segments of American small farming — was underserved.
HerdMart was built to fill that gap. We launched with a simple goal: create the most useful, trustworthy, and goat-specific marketplace in the United States. That meant building features goat people actually need — breed filters, health record fields, registry information, location-based search, and direct seller contact.
Today, HerdMart serves thousands of goat enthusiasts from coast to coast. Our listings span every major breed — Nigerian Dwarfs, Boers, LaMancha, Nubian, Alpine, Saanen, Pygmy, Kiko, Cashmere, and more.
